There’s a moment every creator has—if they’re lucky—when they stop and realize:

“Oh… this wasn’t random.”

That moment just happened to me again. Watching Robert Rodriguez on Joe Rogan—this guy who I’ve admired since I picked up Rebel Without a Crew 25 years ago when I was trying to figure out how to make movies without resources, without permission, and without losing myself in the process.

Back then I didn’t have the language for it, but what I was fighting was Resistance (yeah, capital R—thanks Pressfield). And watching Rodriguez speak now in 2025, with everything that’s unfolded in my life, family, and work over the past few years…
Man, it’s like hearing my future self send a message back through time saying:

“You were never crazy. You were just early.”

The Me from Then Wouldn’t Recognize the Me from Now

And that’s a good thing. I wish I could go back and shake that guy by the shoulders and tell him:

“Stop listening to people who haven’t done what you want to do. Stop trying to prove your worth to systems that profit off your self-doubt. And stop pausing your dreams for the sake of playing it safe. Just GO.”

Of course, I can’t do that. But what I can do is tell it to you.

Because if you’re feeling that same call—the one where everything from your past suddenly makes sense, where every job, setback, talent, tragedy, and so-called failure starts to form a pattern—don’t ignore it.

You’re not delusional. You’re not washed up.
You’re not behind.
You’re just arriving.

And here’s the truth I now stand on with zero hesitation:

Synchronicity is real. And it speaks in the language of movement, not motivation.

This Is Where Embracing the Spark Begins

Starting this coming Monday, I’m releasing a 4-week blog series—a kind of public map for those of us who are ready to walk through Resistance and start building with the fire that never left us. It’s based on my life, my mistakes, my comebacks, and the things I still battle every day.

It’s not fluff. It’s not hustle. It’s soul-level strategy.

Whether you’re a creator, a business owner, a dad, a writer, a dreamer, or just someone who knows there’s more than what you’re currently seeing in the mirror—this series is for you.

A Final Word Before I Crash Tonight

If all you can do right now is believe that there’s a pattern—even if you don’t see how it all fits yet—
Hold on to that.

Because the pattern has been working in my life all along.
Even when I didn’t know it.
Even when I almost gave up.
And especially when I picked up the tools again.

We don’t get to go back.
But we do get to build forward.

And that’s exactly what I’m doing now—with full clarity, full faith, and full fire.

See you Monday.
