Maxwell MarxWDRL Cast

Maxwell “Max” Marx serves as the legendary, zombified lead horror host and central voice of WDRL’s midnight paranormal broadcast. Dressed in a sharp, dapper vintage suit and broad-brimmed hat, Max brings a theatrical, commanding presence to the airwaves, maintaining an intense connection with late-night listeners. He is fiercely dedicated to the art of traditional broadcasting and rejects automated shortcuts. Max’s authority comes from decades behind the microphone, an instinct for an audience he cannot see, and the unnerving ability to make midnight listeners feel like he is talking to them alone.

Bela BloodsteinWDRL Cast

Bela Bloodstein is WDRL’s sharp-dressed, highly sophisticated sales director and resident vampire executive. Combining mid-century style with a calculating business mind, Bela transformed WDRL’s commercial strategy, turning sold-out sponsor slots into sustainable station independence. Bela treats every sponsor like a long game, working by direct negotiation, instinct, charm and carefully maintained relationships that keep the station funded without ever making it feel bought.

Verna VileWDRL Cast

Verna Vile is an elegant, serene psychic medium who acts as WDRL’s living conduit to the supernatural realm. Dressed in rich velvet and period jewelry, Verna maintains absolute calm during intense paranormal activity, channeling spectral voices directly into the studio microphone. Her calm presence and unnerving sensitivity to voices no one else can hear make her the station’s most trusted guide whenever the room changes temperature for no obvious reason.

DorothyWDRL Cast

Dorothy Kilgallen reports live on WDRL’s midnight airwaves as a channeled spectral investigative journalist. Clad in sharp 1950s press attire with notepad in hand, Dorothy brings unyielding tenacity and deep curiosity to local news alerts and unexplainable occurrences. Dorothy follows leads in real time, presses uncomfortable questions and refuses to leave a story alone until she has found the part everyone else missed.

OdieWDRL Cast

Odie the Ogre is an ancient, civilized earthbound spirit who acts as WDRL’s quiet perimeter guardian and strategic protector. Outfitted in a plaid overshirt, WDRL AM 1380 t-shirt, cargo pants, and a belt-mounted copper ward tag, Odie methodically maps escape routes, performs covert station repairs, and maintains an underground sanctuary. Entirely off-grid and mostly wordless, Odie knows every hidden route, weak wall, service corridor and escape path around the station grounds.

ZipperWDRL Cast

Zipper is a curious, small, floating spirit adorned with retro headphones and a shoulder-strapped radio. Moving independently of the Ghost Radio apparatus, Zipper floats through perimeter walls to scan frequencies, track surveillance threats, and observe interactions between the living station crew and the spectral world. Communicating through radio chirps and expressive body language, Zipper’s playful unpredictability completely dodges standard digital data parsing.

BillWDRL Cast

Bill is WDRL’s pragmatic, no-nonsense lead engineer who keeps both the station’s traditional analog transmitter and the otherworldly Ghost Radio core running smoothly. Sleeves rolled up and tools at the ready, Bill approaches technical challenges with fierce loyalty and hands-on grit. While software models can analyze technical data, they cannot solder physical vacuum tubes or adapt mechanical hardware under high pressure. Bill’s tangible engineering mastery ensures WDRL stays on the air no matter the strain.

BobWDRL Cast

Bob is WDRL’s steady, pragmatic station manager who leads the team through operational stress and corporate pressure with grounded resolve. Balancing financial reality with creative freedom, Bob makes the tough operational calls that keep WDRL independent. His strength is knowing when to hold the line, when to bend the rules and when the people in the building matter more than whatever the owners put in the memo.

Dottie JeanWDRL Cast

Dottie Jean commands the front desk and live phone banks at WDRL, acting as the station’s high-energy operations coordinator. Headset on and lines flashing, Dottie Jean screens incoming calls, manages live broadcast traffic, and protects the physical studio boundaries with quick wit and sharp organization. She can tell within ten seconds whether a caller has a real story, a complaint, a sales pitch or something far stranger, and routes the station accordingly.

Nikola TeslaWDRL Cast

Appearing as a luminous, blue-gold spectral projection, Nikola Tesla serves as co-architect of the station’s Ghost Radio apparatus. Unbound by standard physical limitations, his spirit focuses on electromagnetic frequency resonance, signal amplification, and expanding WDRL’s broadcast reach. Tesla brings radical visionary insight to the technical team, proving that groundbreaking scientific leaps require imaginative intuition that standard predictive datasets cannot generate.

Thomas EdisonWDRL Cast

Thomas Edison’s dense, amber-gold spectral presence provides the practical counterbalance to Tesla’s high-minded theories in the engineering room. As co-architect of the Ghost Radio core, Edison focuses on structural integrity, physical apparatus construction, and mechanical control. His relentless commitment to hands-on testing and hardware tinkering highlights the value of physical trial and error over sterile digital modeling.

MarleyWDRL Cast

Marley serves as WDRL’s sharp-eyed business director and accountant, armed with physical ledgers, adding machines, and meticulously organized compliance binders. Marley established the station’s financial independence by structuring ethical revenue streams to protect WDRL from predatory corporate takeovers. Her work illustrates that true accounting requires strategic foresight, creative forensic auditing, and protective ethics that rigid financial software cannot offer.
