Who are your favorite artists?

“Credit where credits due.” For me as a collector of action figures, that’s a little difficult. Why? It’s a matter of layers.

Sweet lord thinking about this is actually hurting my brain.

So instead of naming one or a hundred, I’ll plant this seed instead for your consideration. This actually ties into “The ripple map” I point out in my book.

The starting point would be the original artist / creator of a piece.

Then we hop over to product licensing. Those teams have the chore of recreating and adapting the original work.

And then, the marketers and promotion people who have to take all of that and pull the most sizzling bits and pieces for their use.

And THEN all of the inspiration that stems from the fanbase of the original creation that spawned all the other pieces that lead to the introduction to the said fanbase….

Now you see why my head hurts?

The crazy part? That’s how my head always works.
