What was the hardest personal goal you’ve set for yourself?

First and foremost I do it with systems not goals.

I’ve picked up and implied ted that perspective from many great writers including Scott Adams, Stephen Pressfield and Robert Green. Not only do I recommend reading or listening to their works, I’m truly grateful for them having put in the work to share their work.

Side note of something that came to mind last night before bed: Imagination (the window FROM the soul) does not have a natural spoken language. Instead, language is our brain’s communication tool that keeps us individually alive. No hate there just a truth as I’m coming to understand it.

The brain is doing its job as the instrument and organ that keeps us alive. A specific Language is the mechanism used for this WHERE WE HAPPEN TO BE BORN. The downside is kind of obvious though. It adds to the divide of humankind. But that’s not exactly a bad thing. It’s how we can function productively every day. Or be a jerk, troll or NPC. Your pick. I’d suggest none of those though.

Back to my thought on the imagination being without language. To clarify, it does but not in words as English, Russian, French etc. instead it communicates both back and forth, in and out, through images. Visually. And the revelation for me in all of this? Everyone regardless of the language barriers out there, can understand, inform, educate and entertain each other with those exact same visuals. An apple is an apple no matter what word you use to describe.

So now here I sit 52 years later on the planet and I finally really get what Shakespeare meant when he wrote; “A rose by another name smells just as sweet.”

Grateful for that.

Now, Go Play!
