DAY 61 — HALLOWEEN
Happy Halloween.
After sixty days of talking about it, studying it, playing with it and generally behaving like October needed a full-time production staff, the day itself is finally here.
So I’m not going to bury you in history today. I’m not going to explain symbolism or give you ten things you should do before midnight.
Go enjoy it.
Hand out candy. Wear the costume. Watch the movie. Visit the haunt. Turn WDRL up. Tell somebody a ghost story. Sit on the porch and watch kids become superheroes and monsters for a few hours.
And remember why I built this whole strange thing in the first place: life is far too short to stop playing simply because somebody decided you were an adult.
Halloween isn’t something to consume. It’s something to participate in.
