DAY 66 — BEHIND THE SCREAMS

The finished scare is clean. Making it usually isn’t.
Behind every polished Halloween production is a pile of failed ideas, cables, paint, software, props, edits, retakes and at least one moment where somebody says words not suitable for the promotional brochure.
I think audiences benefit from seeing that sometimes. Not because it destroys the magic, but because it reveals that magic is made by people.
Eerie Entertainment certainly hasn’t emerged from a frictionless machine. It has been built by trying things, breaking things, fixing them and occasionally deciding the broken version was more interesting.
Creation is messy. Ship anyway.
