A pixel world comprised of pixel people, places and things. That’s where we are. What do we do now that we’ve arrived? I’ve found a surprising by product: more time freedom… a lot more.

The side effect: opportunity for more creative focus…

You don’t get complacent and lazy.

This is not a new condition at all. Been that cycle and circle with every technological advancement. Easy example for me: Computer / digital audio editing. Back in the days of 1/4 inch tape, big, expensive multi track recording machines, wielded by the biggest guy / gatekeeper on the block, allowed for some amazing, multi layered audio creations.

Then the computer software came along and accessibility became more and more affordable and available. More and better creations? Nope. More and more mediocre voice over music spot reads, but knocked out in record time. But what good is all that extra time if it’s not applied to enhancing creative expression? It’s worthless, and it took jobs.

That’s an oversimplification but is what it is in showing this point. If used as a tool to boost the creative and not converted into a compactor for assembly line schlock, amazing things and potential can come for both the creator and end consumer.

I say let the time and money savings be reinvested in the GROWTH of the quality of the output.
