List three books that have had an impact on you. Why?

Read these for the first time in 8th grade. I never knew fantasy fiction could be so good and no other has been. my buddy Heath turned me on to them. Probably one of the best influences he had on me (the rest involved a wee bit of teenage debauchery.)
