A Story-Keeping Guide is a custom printed book created specifically for your property. It can include your history, your architecture, your town, nearby attractions, guest prompts, photo notes, family memory pages, local recommendations, reflection questions, and guided observation sections. This is not just a blank notebook, brochure or just another item on a gift shop shelf. It’s a guided memory artifact designed to help your guests participate more deeply in the experience they are already having and capture the memories they are making with your establishment.

This idea was born while my wife Alicia and I were helping operate the historic Hotel Seville in Harrison, Arkansas. Day after day, we watched families, couples, and solo travelers create memories they would carry home long after checkout. We realized there was one thing missing—a meaningful way for guests to capture those moments before they became stories told from memory alone. That realization inspired us to create custom vacation journals that help preserve not just where people traveled, but what they experienced along the way.

How the Process Works.
Once we’ve received your initial payment, we’ll begin gathering everything we need to create your custom vacation journal through a recorded, one on one call. We’ll ask for information about your property, its history, nearby attractions, photos, branding, and anything else that helps tell your unique story. From there, we’ll begin writing, designing, and assembling your journal. Every page is customized to reflect your property’s personality while encouraging guests to capture the memories that make their stay special. You’ll then receive a digital proof for your review before publication. Upon approval, we’ll prepare your journal for print-on-demand publishing.
*Most first-time custom journals are completed within 7–10 business days after we’ve received all of your materials. Please allow up to 30 days for physical copies to be produced.
