What are you most excited about for the future?
Being that I’m moving into a totally different space in life as an author and speaker, I can’t help but be pretty excited.
And nervous.
And that’s a wonderful feeling.
It’s been a good long while since I’ve been on the cusp of something that gives me the butterflies in the gut. The first public appearance being THIS ONE. It’s not exactly what I had in mind for the kick off but it fits. Pokémon isn’t my thing but I’m not stupid either. Alicia loved playing Pokémon Go and it was fun for Kaitlynn and I to run around with her while she “caught em all” so that’s a positive I have to grant.
Anyway, it harkens deep to today’s prompt from Jetpack. It is unknown, like so many things now. The speed of technology and societal change is mind numbing. And to those paying attention, a little scary. And to those not paying attention? In for a HUGE shock in a short amount of time.
Probably the same way people experienced running water, electricity, radio and the smartphone, I would think.
As for me and mine, we’re in the first category. But with the caveat that we’ve lived through with all the massive broadcast / mass media paradigm shifts. So we’re good. But cautious. But more so, curious.
All that said, the unknown is exciting and the future has a whole lot of that on deck. just be sure you take the initiative to stack it in YOUR favor.
